Mission Bay, San Diego - Sacramento State concluded its racing at the San Diego Crew Classic with a solid finish in a very deep field. The Varsity 8+ competed in the Petite Final of the Menís Cal Cup. The crews were close down the course, but Sacramento State lagged entering the last 500. The team put together a furious sprint to catch the leading crews and ended 0.27 seconds behind 3rd place Bates, finishing in 4th overall. The young crew is excited by the close results, and ready for the upcoming races of the season. Complete results of the Menís Cal Cup finishes are below.
